Jaipur, Rajasthan** – August 15, 2024—The Journalist Association of Rajasthan (JAR) celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with immense pride and patriotism through a flag-hoisting ceremony held at the JAR Headquarters. The event took place at 13, Plot No. Police Commissionerate Complex, MI Road, Jaipur, starting at 9:30 a.m.
Sh. Hari Vallabh Meghwal, President of JAR, presiding over the ceremony, led the celebrations alongside Deepak Sharma, Secretary of JAR. The event witnessed the participation of distinguished officials, members of the Rajasthan JAR, and fellow journalists from various media outlets.
The flag hoisting commenced with a rendition of the national anthem, followed by a speech from Sh. Hari Vallabh Meghwal. He highlighted the importance of freedom and the role of journalists in safeguarding democracy, emphasizing the unwavering spirit of journalism in promoting truth and justice.
In his address, Deepak Sharma acknowledged the dedicated efforts of journalists in bringing light to issues affecting society and reminded everyone of the responsibilities that come with the independence they cherish.
